What’s in a name? In the case of the Tahoe Paradise neighborhood, the answer is everything. The name Tahoe Paradise alone conjures up images of a better life – pure Paradise. The Tahoe Paradise neighborhood is located toward the west end of Pioneer Trail where joined with Hwy 50 near Meyers. This neighborhood is very popular with both full and part-time residents due to its secluded wooded environment and overall peaceful setting. Nature abounds throughout the area with numerous forested trails, ideal for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing, creeks, wildflowers and animal life. One of South Lake Tahoe’s most popular mountain bike trails is Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and begins within the Tahoe Paradise neighborhood. Nearby ski resorts (within 20 – 30 minutes either way,) are Heavenly Mountain and Sierra At Tahoe. If you find yourself looking at an aerial map, ignore what appears to be a great distance. Sandy beaches and the pristine blue of Lake Tahoe are within fifteen minutes driving. Looking for even more recreation opportunities? Check out the proximity to two nearby golf courses, Tahoe Paradise Golf and Lake Tahoe Golf Course. Young anglers and slalom water skiers will enjoy nearby Tahoe Paradise Park and Lake Baron. 

Don’t worry about being too far away from “city” amenities. There is a well-stocked local grocery store, gas station and great dining opportunities within the immediate area.

Homes within the Tahoe Paradise neighborhood tend to range from older cabins such as chalets and A-frames to stunning new construction featuring the latest in architecture and technology. Many of the homes border National Forest and State Conservancy land with views of mountains and wooded forests. The overall price range for the area is in the $300,00 to $400,000 range for a three bedroom, two bath home.
 
According to the South Tahoe Association of Realtors’ Multiple Listing Services, the 2009 reported 32 sales for the Tahoe Paradise area with a median home price of $388,500. Tahoe Paradise was one of the few neighborhoods not showing a decrease in value during the past year. The same service reported 26 sales with a median home price of $389,000 during 2008.
